Unknown Child
What about the unknown child
You know the one
Eyes filled with that look
That look of anguish and despair

And where is
The essence of the child
That does not know laughter
Fear and hunger a constant company
The unknown child somewhere out there

My assume leaders
Ever gazed into those eyes
What about the pains everyday survival brings
All the oppressive policies
Killing the smiles of innocence

Your war machinery
Has left so many
Without a place under the sun
Dashing hopes to pieces
Making their lives a living hell
A nightmare

Will they ever have a chance
Live a day without fear
Having enough of the
Basic necessities of life
Food clothe and shelter

Is this a part of the master plan
Grow them up in misery
Then they become vicious
Fighting  instead of loving  each  other
You saving them form themselves
Shooting them down like dogs
While filling the jail houses

Give the children a chance
lets grow them up loving
Knowing some peace and justice
Today's child is tomorrow's hopes
What of tomorrow
When we brutalize them
Providing no hope for tomorrow
No vision for earth's future.
