Over 500 years               Dedicated to the spirit of Leonard Peltier and the others   Came out of Europe With one lie after another First the depicting of the Christ The original Hebrew, a Black man To be a man of blond hair and blue eyes Giving rise to this philosophy Of white supremacy that has caused And is still causing to this blessed day So much pain and suffering upon humanity    The Arawaks and the Caribs First recorded victims became expendable  The invaders lust for precious metals Coupled with share barbarity Writing chapters on the pages of time This history of betrayals against humanity        Littered with so much blood With white supremacy marching on Behind lies, excuses, and justifications Their churches blessing their tyrants While telling the victims to be forgiving   So from island to island To continents The barbarity, the betrayals, the inhumanity The countless victims,  Of the mis-education of white supremacy Indigenous peoples labeled     Defined as heathens and savages  Suffering the savagery   The Un-Godly acts of the proclaimed Godly As peoples are killed, uprooted, transported Resources stolen away Practices very much alive today   So for centuries the theme plays on These manipulations for the inhumanity  Bloodthirstiness and barbarity Behind the many faces for justifications Race religion nationality politics Class gender appearance wealth All divisions taking precedence Before our humanity Maintaining the looting, the pillaging The killings to benefit a few   Terrorism is today’s new face We been told, to be feared and protected from Today’s justification for tyrants and murders To continue this assault on our humanity  With the mis -education and mis-information The fears and insecurities that are cultivated Manipulating the people into Surrendering their human rights So the assault against humanity can continue Behind the false proclamations As the victims to be are then labeled Demonized and dehumanized First attempt in a series of attempts To justify the cannot be justified These crimes against our humanity    Today after 500 years of Barbarity, excuses and justifications Mis-educations, lies, and divisions One must not become fooled About no war on terrorism The oldest road to oppression and injustice And since foxes cannot guard the hen house We know only names have been changed Human rights continues to be trampled on  Now under the guise of fighting terrorism And the looting, pillaging and killings continues   So today after 500 years of betrayals We accepting the lies For the many and continuing genocides Concepts of class for divisions Religions to sanction the barbarity  Philosophies of superiority Maintaining the injustice and inequality How about refuting these lies Out of Europe So equality applies to all And justice is for all    Not just some How about Recognizing that these divisions   Of class, race, nationality    Or what ever little niche You choose to place before your humanity Only supports the grand lie So some can rampage against all of humanity.   [Home] [About] [Contact Us] [Poetry] [My Poetry] [Featured Poem] [User Poems] [Three Poems] [Events] [Guidelines] [Legal]
