There are no more heroes To champion causes for you There are no more prophets To deliver warnings to you There are no more leaders of distinction Standing up for equal rights and justice Now we are left with tyrants and murderers Doing any and everything to stay in power   All that there is to know Has already been revealed The myths have fallen apart History has exposed the grand lies Justifying the continuing atrocities Truths and rights has endured the test of time Still awaiting our long overdue embrace As to guide us to the peace of our desire Built on a foundation of justice   The heroes rose to humanity’s challenge Delivering that message of love, unity and justice Denounce the greed and selfishness Some want to be the norm Kept reminding us of the fact that injustice Has always been the factor behind it all Masquerading behind the guises Racism, nationalism, religion, politics The lines along which the injustice flourished   Understand that it’s a false security That does not offer justice to humanity And those calls to nationalism and the other isms The ones placed before your humanity Justifying atrocities against your humanity These self imposed lines of imprisonment   Nurturing grounds for conspirators against humanity With their message of hatred Sucking the blood of humanity   Today as yesterday Divisions have exact a harsh price of you and I Still the cause to champion is humanity Reflecting the message of the heroes Demanding justice from within and otherwise  Refusing definitions of self not inclusive of all As to remove our lines of imprisonment So you and I, and humanity can be free Living in love, unity and justice.     [Home] [About] [Contact Us] [Poetry] [My Poetry] [Featured Poem] [User Poems] [Three Poems] [Events] [Guidelines] [Legal]
