Mankind hiding behind its truths Resulting in desolation and contradictions Always on this path to conquest But ever failing the self Ignoring the ultimate goal, Moral integrity and justice as solutions    Giving credence to carnal desires   So as to ignore nature’s guidance Many excuses accommodating desires  Seeking answers in strange places Forgetting the self’s debt to humanity Overtaken by doctrines of individualism  Now humanity suffers everyday With cowards in positions of leadership Furthering diabolic plans of a few  Pussyfooting around the issues Innocent lives offered up as collateral damage Justifying and accepting this barbarity Always there with the excuses as to why Yet conveniently ignoring the why not Greed lurking around in the shadows, waiting Survival the need versus living the goal A trump card within this arsenal of excuses Embracing the lies propagated Failing to realize this fact about right and wrong That the excuses are only needed for The things we know to be wrong Hence the ever changing excuses given Seeking to justify the same action Trying to find appeasement for the conscience That can only find peace in truths and rights     [Home] [About] [Contact Us] [Poetry] [My Poetry] [Featured Poem] [User Poems] [Three Poems] [Events] [Guidelines] [Legal]
